The day started much like any other day. I was doing my normal trading business in my office,

reading through news sites and blogs. That's when it hit me:
Why do I need to go to 6 different websites to find out what 6 different traders are doing? Why can't I go to one spot, see the current open trades of a whole bunch of traders and then chat with those traders directly? Why are we harnessing the power of the internet for trading but not harnessing the power of the internet to facilitate
communication between traders? This is just silly! So my search began, I scoured the internet for some such tool or website that would streamline communication between Forex traders - but none was found.
And that's how
Napstex was born.

By trade I am a Software Developer, by passion I am a trader. I was finally given an opportunity to merge my passion with my profession. Development began almost immediately. First I would need a strong database design, then a layer of web services for the distributed application to communicate with, and finallyI would need to create a Windows application for individual traders to enter their trades. And the rest is history...
Many changes have been made to
Napstex since it's original release. We added MetaTrader integration (so users wouldn't have to enter their trades twice), fully integrated IRC chat, as well as channels to help like-minded traders trade together. To view the Napstex window at any time you can just double click the icon in your system tray, take a glance at what other traders are doing, close it back to your system tray and go on with your day. That's the beauty of it - it's really easy to use, but very powerful.
Napstex is available on the website,
